Strategies for communication and collaboration

With my background in creative writing and theatre, empowering organizations to communicate clearly, both internally and externally, has been the focus of quite a few workshops and talks I’ve developed. Especially for emerging industries, the impulse to use tribal language or jargon can be a barrier to finding new customers or employees. Creating collaborative sessions around communication and collaboration has been a fun way to give people the opportunity to identify their own challenges and solve them, all at once!

Disrupt That Synergy: Jargon as a Barrier to Innovation

As part of the Technology Association of Oregon’s Ignite event, where they invite speakers to develop 5-minute talks about a topic relating to a theme, I shortened my 3-hour workshop on jargon and communication to a fast-paced, high-energy monologue.
